British veteran actor, Alan Rickman passed away at the age of 69.It was reported that Alan was battling with cancer for years. Alan Rickman is imprinted on “Harry Potter” fandom because of his magnificent performance as the entangled villain turned bona fide hero “Severus Snape” in the epic franchise.
Alan Rickman started his career with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal Court Theatre .Alan was nominated for the “Tony and Drama Desk” Award for his outstanding performance in Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
Rickman had portrayed a variety of complicated characters in his three decades long prolific career. Few of his recent sublime performances include 1988’s Die Hard with Bruce Willis and Love actually. J.K Rowling, devastated on this shocking news expressed her feelings over twitter” “There are no words to express how shocked and devastated I am to hear of Alan Rickman’s death. He was a magnificent actor & a wonderful man.”
Rickman illustrated a wide range of complicated roles with in-depth inelegance and brought warmth on reel. His many attempts of somewhat reserved and complicated characters on reel made him believe a complex person .But according to his close circle; Alan Rickman was an extremely warm human being. Rickman was blessed with an incredible voice .Costar Helen Mirren commented that “That he could play like a sort of wonderful instrument, like a cello or something. He played his voice, he could be the most subtle of actors and he could also be quite a big actor. He could do the grandiose performances as well.” Rickman’s voice was a trademark although he was criticized because of his unique voice in his earlier life performing in drama school.

While Rickman was singularly famous for playing villains, Rickman once expressed that those antagonist roles are “a very small part of whatever I’ve done. It’s like two or three parts, and they just happened to have big publicity budgets” In 1991 Rickman performed the sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. He also performed as “Colonel Brandon” in Ang Lee’s “Sense and Sensibility” with Kate Winslet.
